Groups

Use Groups to categorize your data if it was acquired as a repeating sequence (01230123…), such as a current-voltage relation repeated several times, or paired-pulse data acquired at several intervals.

Groups are defined by the Group wave whose index points (0,1,2…) correspond to your data waves (RecordA0, RecordA1, RecordA2…). You can edit the Group wave via the Groups Panel, as described below.

A group wave value of “3” (i.e. Group[0] = 3) means the corresponding data wave (RecordA0) is to be included in “Group3”.

NeuroMatic sets the number of points in the Group wave equal to the number of available data waves (NumWaves). You should not change the length of the Group wave, otherwise you may get unexpected results.

Once your groups have been defined, use the Wave Select on NeuroMatic’s control panel to select a group of waves to analyze, such as “Group0”, “Group1” or “All Groups”.

Groups Panel

To open the Groups Panel, select (G > Panel) on NeuroMatic’s control panel. The Group wave should appear in a table to the right, along with the GroupSeq wave.

Use the Sequence controls to define a group sequence, such as 01230123... To define multiple sequences over different ranges, uncheck “Auto Clear” and use the “Execute” button to define each new sequence. Set blocks > 1 to define a sequence of blocked numbers (i.e. blocks = 2 for 00112233…).

If your groups follow an usual sequence, such as 03120312…, set your sequence via the GroupSeq wave (0312) and select Execute, or edit the Group wave by hand.
